A. Hello,
Rather than attempt to deactivate and reactivate on a different computer, your best bet is to purchase Windows 7 again with a new product key.

A. To upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7, you'll need to select the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. A custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, files, or settings. It's sometimes called a "clean" installation for that reason.

A. Boot to the Windows 7 partition. Then go to disk management and delete the Ubuntu partition. Then you can reformat the Ubuntu partition and add it to your Windows 7.

A. Yes, you can do an in-place upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I would burn the iso image of Windows 7 Professional to a DVD and use it and your product key to upgrade. You can also buy an Anytime Upgrade Key and update that way as well.
